Steve Archdeacon is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, independent recording artist, and performing musician in the vein of DMB meets Clapton/Hendrix based in Commack, NY. He recently released his new album entitled “No Turning Back” and has received a great response from the album. Like one fan says, “Archdeacon has a way of writing songs that can be uplifting and inspiring. These songs are open the car window and crank the music songs that will really get you going. You owe it to yourself to check out this talented, versatile song weaver.” His MAIN passion in life is MUSIC and strongly believes that if we all help each other out in our life-long quest as artists then you really can’t go wrong because we will all benefit in the long run.
He has also traveled to England to play at The Cavern, where the Beatles became famous, as well as Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Delaware, Vermont, LA, among many other places. He enjoys motivating others to do their very best in life as you only get back what you put into it. He teaches at the Music Rock Camp BEYOND ROCK during the summer for a month straight as well as teaches guitar/vocals privately.
He has had a picture placed on the front cover of the Indie Bible 9th, 12th, and 13th editions(www.indiebible.com) thanks to Songsalive!, which is the songwriting community he is a member of. He currently runs a Songsalive! Songwriting workshop at Sam Ash in Huntington Station, NY EVERY 1st Wed of the month (www.songsalive.org/group/LongIsland & www.meetup.com/SongsaliveLongIsland).
He also raises money for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), which is an organization that helps out soldiers wounded in battle (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). This past Veterans Day, 11/11/11, he also got the opportunity to play in the Veterans Day Parade in NYC on one of the floats with the WWP.
