On Passion
My youngest started as an engineer intern last Summer which led into a professional position this Autumn. It’s beautiful to watch him develop, improve and learn about his own self, his likes, his preferences and the road ahead. A few weeks back he came home really down. Found out his boss did not like some work he did and it rocked him, made him start second guessing himself and what he’s doing. I reassured him that this is a normal part of growth and it’s how he’s going to learn and improve. I see he likes engineering and craves to be productive and useful.
Once again, restaurants may open for dine-in business starting Friday. As my son is learning in his new and uncharted waters, we too have been learning how to operate safely. We are very happy and excited to welcome back our customers for dine-in service and we will continue to operate with maximum safety measures in place.
Perhaps the single item I am most looking forward to is live music and this Sunday, for Valentine’s Day Dinner, we have a very special live music instrumental performance for lovers of music featuring Rockaway's own Dorothy Wagner performing a mix of pop, jazz, original and Spanish guitar instrumentals. There will be 3 seating’s at 3pm, 5pm & 7pm and reservations are strongly suggested.
This will be the first live performance in a year and, while we are not ready to begin a full schedule of live music, I am looking forward to a rocking summer with great shows already in the planning.
Welcome back to Thai Rock and dine-in at large. If you are comfortable eating out and Thai Rock is not convenient or not your mood, please consider one of the many other fine establishments, restaurants could really use all the support they can get.
Stay Healthy and be well,
Robert :~)
